I've been on a bit of a dA/Tumblr hiatus the past month while I worked on a cover for an upcoming book. I'll post that as soon as it solicits. And I've got a few other projects (one of which is my own wedding) in the next few months, so I can't really say what my output will be like here. In the meantime I have a few projects in various states of completion that I may get a chance to knock out here and there.
This was a quick piece I did after stumbling upon and rereading Mike Allred's issue of DC's "Solo" *. I was digging on the '60s vibe and thought I'd crank out a quick Donna Troy Wonder Girl piece. The cover I did was pretty dark, so this felt like a nice transition out of that.
Created with PITT Pens and Adobe Photoshop CS, and by spending A LOT of time looking through Adam Hughes' "Cover Run."
*Allow me to be the umpteenth person to lament the demise of that book. And considering how many of us out there still pine for "Solo," it's amazing that the book was canceled due to low sales. Seek it out if you get the chance. The Darwyn Cooke issue in particular is a favorite of mine.
